Large vs Small Orders
Small orders are orders that weigh less than 100 Kg or contain less than 6 items. These orders will be dispatched by Parcels Force courier.
Large orders over 100 Kg and containing 6 items or more will be dispatched by pallet network.
Orders received before 3pm on a working day will be dispatched that day.
Orders are only delivered on working days, I.e. week days excluding bank holidays.
Large orders are delivered by a pallet network. Deliveries will arrive on a lorry equipped with tail lift and manual pallet trolley. Orders are unloaded to ground level and are able to be wheeled short distances over good ground to the desired destination. If your delivery address may be subject to access restrictions (narrow lanes, etc.) please indicate that you require your delivery in a 7.5 tonne lorry on the delivery page of the checkout process. If your property is not suitable for access by a 7.5 tonne vehicle we are able to arrange for smaller orders to be delivered by transit van although this service is prohibitively expensive and fairly limited. In exceptionally busy periods a shortage of 7.5 tonne vehicles may result in your delivery being delayed by a day, although this is very rare!
Small orders are delivered by Parcel Force and will be made in smaller vehicle.
If you would like a small order left (i.e. if you will not be there to take delivery), please leave a signed delivery notice identifying where the item is to be left at the delivery address and a signature for Parcel Force to take with them. Without this notice Parcel Force will not be able to leave your delivery!
All orders are shrunk wrapped in plastic and so are splash proof, however they are not suitable for outside storage or prolonged exposure to the wet.
Orders shipped via Standard shipping should be received on the third working day after ordering, where provided the order is received prior to 4pm on a working day, that day will be the first working day. 98.5% of orders are delivered within this timescale. Our courier will attempt to contact you the day or morning before delivery to confirm an approximate delivery time. Please ensure that you provide suitable contact numbers as the courier may delay delivery until he has been able to confirm that there will be someone able to accept delivery.Some regions (North of Scotland, Channel Islands etc.) may experience longer shipping times, these are indicated on the delivery price check page for your postcode.
All small orders are shipped on Parcel Force's next day service.
Next Day Delivery
Orders received prior to 4pm on a working day will be delivered the next working day. Please note that our courier will not contact you to confirm that there will be someone able to receive a next day order. As such please ensure that there is someone on site to accept the delivery. Alternatively please ensure that you have left clear instructions as to where you would like the delivery left. Next Day delivery is not available for all regions.
Timed delivery gives you the customer the option on specifying on what day and at what time you would like your delivery to be made. Timed deliveries are only available for working day 3 and 4 where the order is placed on working day 1 and are available in half hour increments between 9am and 5pm. Timed deliveries are guaranteed for the time you specify, where the delivery is made more than 30 minutes after the requested time, the delivery fee will be refunded. Timed deliveries are not available for all regions or for small orders.
Where deliveries are attempted but the delivery is unable to be completed due to the absence of someone able to sign for the goods we reserve the right to charge a £15 redelivery charge.
We strongly recommend customers not to ask us to leave the order without obtaining a signature. However where the customer instructs us in writing in the delivery note field to leave the delivery without obtaining a signature we are not able to entertain any claims that may arise from goods arriving damaged or being left at an incorrect location. Small orders do not require a signature on delivery.
If you find the goods unsuitable or you are not totally satisfied, providing you notify us within 8 working days from receipt of the goods and return to us unsoiled, unused and in the original packaging you will be entitled to an exchange or return. You will be required to arrange and pay for the return shipping to our warehouse in Birmingham. Please contact us if such a case occurs and we can advise you of the most cost effective means of return.
